Time To Schedule Fall Mini-Sessions!

It's hard to believe that summer is almost over and that the holiday's are just around the corner! Fall mini-sessions are the perfect time for taking family photo's. Here are the details for this year's mini sessions:

October 1st: Camp Holbrook in Alpharetta, GA    8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. & 3:30 p.m.- 6:00 p.m.
      Fall Themed- think pumpkins, hay, rustic buildings.

November 5th: Old Sixes School in Woodstock, GA  8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. & 3:30 p.m.- 6:00 p.m.
      Christmas Themed in rustic setting

November 12th: A Park in/around Woodstock, GA   8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. & 3:30 p.m.- 6:00 p.m.
      Christmas or Fall Themed (you can choose, I'll have props available for both)


Mini Session Fee: $55 
      This includes: 30 minute session
                             10-20 edited images in an online gallery
                             10 digital images of your choice on a CD
      Prints, Cards, Canvases, Additional Digital Images, Etc may be purchased separately.

The fine print: Mini Session includes immediate family only.  Due to time restraints they are not recommended for newborns. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your session. The session fee is due in full 3 days from booking in order to reserve your time slot.

Summer Update

It has been a very busy summer around here, hence the lack of updates. Glowing moms-to-be, beautiful newborns, and wonderful families. My goal for this fall is to blog about each session, but for now here a small summary of the summer so far.

Free Mini Session!!

While I realize I need to play "catch up" on posting about all the wonderful sessions that have been happening this summer I wanted to make sure everyone knows about the contest for a free mini session.

Good luck! I'm really looking forward to the mini sessions this Fall. I've got some great locations in mind combined with some festive props. It will be so much fun!

Here are the details:

Fall Mini Session dates will be announced next week so I thought it would be fun to have a contest and give away a FREE mini session before they become available. There are going to be 3 weekends of mini sessions this fall, one in each month. Don't forget: mini sessions include digital images!

What do you have to do??? All you have to do is have your friends go to the Rachel Melton Photography Facebook page and like it, make sure they leave a comment saying you sent them.

Spring Mini Sessions!!

Spring Mini Sessions are going to be held at Camp Holbrook in Alpharetta on friday May 27th and in Woodstock on saturday May 28th!

Newborn Photographer | Canton, GA

I love newborns! And I love capturing those first few weeks of life. This little guy didn't want to cooperate but in the end did a fabulous job and we were able to get some beautiful images. There is nothing sweeter then a new baby.

Family Photographer | New Smyrna Beach, FL

I'm so behind on posting sessions so this is my attempt at catching up! Anyone who knows me knows how much I absolutely love the beach, so shooting on the beach is a special treat! And these two boys are as sweet as they come. Their mom and I were college roommates and I'm so glad that we've stayed in touch. They're a beautiful family and I had so much fun watching these two boys play in the sand and surf.

It's amazing how much a baby changes between their newborn and 3 month sessions! Last time I photographed Stella she was a sleepy little newborn and she let me position her however I pleased without ever waking up or making a noise. So much has changed! She is now a bright eyed, smiling, gorgeous girl! She grabs anything she can wrap her tiny fingers around and those little legs are always kicking. I had so much fun dressing her up as a ballerina and trying out some new flower headbands! She was a great sport through all the costume changes!

Florida Trip!

I'm so excited to announce that Rachel Melton Photography is heading to florida for a few days! Here are the details:

I will be offering "mini" sessions on three different days, each in a different location. This is a great opportunity to get some beautiful photographs for a great price! The session fee is $75 and that includes a 45-minute session AND your favorite 20 images on a DVD. This is a savings of $100! Additional digital images and prints are also available.

April 2nd: Lake Eola   Downtown Orlando, FL

Aren't these two girls beautiful?! It was so much fun trying to capture their personalities. They both are sweet, fun, determined little girls. I just love them. In a few short months they will have a baby sister and I can't wait for the challenge of photographing all three of them together!

So I thought it only appropriate to start this blog with a "sneak peak" of my own little bundle of joy. It won't be long and he will be running and hiding from the camera like his older sister.  I will take advantage of the fact that he can't walk yet. Here is Grayson at two months. I was determined to capture one more round of "sleepy" poses. He hates hats and being swaddled so I really had the odds stacked against me but somehow he fell asleep and I was able to capture some sweet dreamy images.
